About Us

Long before anyone spoke of “organic” or “natural,” tribals of Latehar were already farming that way. We didn’t have chemicals, only compost, cow dung, and the rhythm of the seasons. Rain watered our fields, trees sheltered our crops, and every harvest was shared among neighbours before it ever reached a market. The soil here is fertile, and people treat it with respect because it’s their only real source of livelihood.

Latehar Haat started with a very simple idea: the food grown in Latehar is good, clean, and honest — and more people should have access to it. Behind every product is a community of farmers who take pride in their work. Many of them are small growers, cultivating just a few acres of land. Latehar Haat helps them come together, get fair prices, and find buyers who value what they do. When you buy our products, you’re getting pure, naturally grown products, while also supporting the families who grow them with their own hands.

Our work is as much about people as it is about food. When you buy from Latehar Haat, you’re supporting the small farmers of Latehar — families who depend on their land and their knowledge to make a living with dignity. We make sure they get a fair price for their harvests, and we help them reach markets that were once far beyond their reach.

We are a community effort — a group of farmers, friends, and supporters who believe that the best food comes from trust, not factories. Our dream is simple: to keep our soil healthy, our traditions alive, and our farmers hopeful for the next season.
